“We would like everyone to know that we found the Great Northern Builders team to be very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful during our project. We found their value to be competitive and all materials and labor were delivered to our home accurately and on time. Due to proper planning and expertise, final installation was completed in less than a day and the quality of workmanship and attention to detail was very commendable. We are very happy customers and are eager to start up some new projects with Great Northern Builders asap.”

“Great Northern Builders helped us to create our amazing basement remodel. We had a general idea of what we were looking for but with their help and great ideas we ended up with the perfect basement retreat. We appreciate their quick response time in answering all of our questions along the way along with their flexibility when changes were made. GNB kept our home very clean throughout the remodel and protected all of our flooring. The workers were all very pleasant to work with.
We appreciate all they did for us and highly recommend them. Thank you!”

“This past September Great Northern Builders tore out and replaced our entire front porch. The job also came with a few surprises (no footing had been poured previously and a new beam overhead needed to be replaced). Although there were things that happened outside of what we originally planned, Great Northern Builders was great about notifying us and putting forth a plan to fix the problem. Overall we couldn’t be more pleased with the craftsmanship of GNB, the deck is beautiful! It’s clear that no corners were cut and that overall they did an amazing job. GNB’s price point is on the high end but we felt like they were well worth it. You get what you pay for. We would recommend them to anyone who wants a job well done.
Thanks so much for the hard work!”

“Very impressed with Great Northern Builders. I found them online and shortly after, started seeing their signs on places they were working on. Very professional, courteous, and enjoyable to work with!
I like that they are all encompassing for jobs- not just for roof or siding. GNB will be the first person I contact if we have future work.”

“I needed gutters and screens for existing gutters to take care of a drainage issue around the foundation of my home. Not a glamorous home upgrade but an important one. I contacted Great Northern Builders by their website and they/GNB got right back to me to set up an appointment at my convenience. (I had also contacted another local builder and that builder did not return my two calls of project inquiry). Nate B. provided positive, professional, customer service, and construction insight. Great Northern Builders got the job completed in a timely minor. All is well with the project. I appreciate their common sense approach to what needed to be completed and the forward thinking to address my clogged gutter issue/challenges, with good customer service. If and when I have another home repair project, I will be contacting Great Northern Builders.”

“After the hail storm of August 2013, we discovered significant damage to the siding, roof, and several window screens. We called Great Northern Builders and Brandon came out to give the estimate. The estimate was very compatible to the others we received. The work was done in a timely fashion and the workers were efficient, timely, and did not leave a mess for us to pick up. If you need to have work done on your house, I would recommend calling Great Northern Builders!”

“For our roof we chose the professional roofing contractors at Great Northern Builders and got a great looking roof. A super clean job and not a petal knocked off from the foundation plantings. Thank you!”

“I reached out to Great Northern Builders to help with home repairs to my kitchen and sunroom after ice damage in winter 2014. I know they were very busy with similar claims after a particularly bad winter but they gave me significant individual time and attention. I also had a baby on they way and they expedited the project for me to ensure it would be completed before the baby arrived. Every time I called Great Northern Builders I got an immediate response from Natalie, who was very helpful. I am confident in recommending Great Northern Builders for your next project and will certainly use them again myself if the need arises.”

Replacement of roof and shingles and insulation of the attic was my project. I was impressed with the project management and commitment to customer service. Work was done as scheduled with some challenging adjustments due to weather conditions. Workers were very polite and did a good job cleaning up when the project was completed.

Great Northern Builders has been a great contractor for us on numerous construction and restoration projects. They are very accommodating and have come to our home and offered their assessment free of charge! They also worked with us on pricing and gave us a discount for being a repeat customer which is very helpful. Our experiences with them have been very positive and we would highly recommend them to others!!

Nate was extremely helpful. He did an initial walk through to show us all the damage from the storm. He then gave great suggestions on what needed to be done to improve the exterior of our home. He was always available by phone for anything we needed. The stone work on the front of our home brought it up to date rather than the 1970s look it had. We would definitely use Great Northern Builders again. Thanks!

Thank you for your fine work on our home. We love it!

“We were very comfortable working with Great Northern Builders right from start. We worked closely with Tyler to choose the best solutions for our roofing needs. The billing process was very smooth and any questions we did have were handled very professionally by Natalie V. We are extremely pleased about our experience.”

“We had Great Northern Builders do a “refresh renovation” to our 4- season porch. They repaired some drywall cracks/ dents and then repainted the room. Chris and his crew did a great job. They cleaned up well each day and when the job was completed. We were very pleased with their service. I am sure we will use them again for another project.”

“Great Northern Builders re-shingled our roof damaged by wind in a storm. They dealt with our insurance company to maximize our coverage. They got us on the schedule to get the job done before the winter weather really hit us. They did a great job and completed the project in one day! I would highly recommend them.”

“I want to thank Project Manager Kyle for the excellent job of scheduling the reroofing of my house. If I had questions he always answered them and returned my phone calls. The team at Great Northern Builders always treated me with excellent professionalism and made the re-roofing job go smoothly, with all materials on job. Roofing crew did a very nice job and a prompt clean-up of materials. I would recommend Great Northern Builders to family and friends for all their construction, restoration and repair projects. Thank you!”

“Kyle was professional and very helpful in taking care of our storm damage. The Great Northern Builders team was courteous and efficient in doing the job (new roof) with virtually no disruptions to our activities. The project was completed on schedule with minimal hassle in terms of working with the insurance company and city inspector.
Thanks to all at Great Northern Builders!”

“We were very pleased with the work and the clean up on our new roof. The help given for picking out the right shingle was appreciated. Chris and Nate made us feel like family and working with Natalie was a real pleasure. We highly recommend Great Northern Builders!”

“We chose Great Northern Builders over several other contractors as a result of their thoroughness in the bid and the collaborative way Chris talked through options. In fact, the bid was a little higher than some of the others, but he instilled confidence in us that they would do a professional, high-quality job. Chris and his team delivered on their contract and easily met our expectations. Although the bid did not include a toilet fixture, when we didn’t realize we were supposed to provide one, Chris offered to do so (also at no additional cost). The end result was a beautifully done, finished basement that we love! Overall, I would recommend Great Northern Builders for their high quality work, professional service and collaborative approach.”

“Thank you for your fine work on our home. We love it!”

“A very professional company, when they set an appointment they are on time. Quick, clean, and friendly. I would recommend to anyone.”

“Great Northern Builders created an amazing gym, on time, and kicked obstacles to the curb every step of the way! We had an unforeseen worst case scenario, which could have easily forced us to delay our business opening. We didn’t have to worry about a thing, they handled all of the paperwork required with the city and fixed everything! Nate Biljan and his team stepped up to the challenge, and executed quickly and effortlessly with an amazing finish, allowing us to launch on-time,”

“Great Northern Builders has done work for us at our home and business, we continue to use GNB because they do the job right the first time and articulate our vision and needs with the highest level of detail and quality customer service. Our projects are not the easiest jobs, we own a building that was built in 1890, and has lots of defects. We have hired Great Northern Builders repeatedly for residential and commercial additions, hardwood floors, new pitch and flat roofs, siding, patio addition, new bathrooms, and more. Every time, the job was done on time, and done right. We recommend Great Northern Builders for all your residential and commercial remodel and renovation projects.”

“Thank you for the wonderful job you did on the Old Salem Shrine repairs and renovation! Your care and concern for preserving the historical nature of the building was outstanding! I know you went out of your way to be sure that you replicated the materials used in 1867! I also loved that you kept us informed every step of the way in the process. I am happy to recommend your company to anyone looking to complete a construction and/or renovation project. Your team is top-notch!”

“Great Northern Builders installed siding on an older four-unit residential building for me. They bid the job and performed the work in a timely and professional manner. They responded to our request, they did not interfere with the tenant’s use of their respective units and they did not commence construction too early. I received no complaints. Also, there were no “extra charges” or surprises. Great Northern Builders performed as promised. The quality of their work was confirmed by the St. Paul Building Inspector, who informed me at the time of the final inspection that he was highly impressed with their workmanship. It is always nice to have a reliable third party approve your choice of a contractor.”

“Great Northern Builders has been our “go-to” contractor for over five years. They are responsive and deliver quality work in a timely fashion. Our residents, adjusters and team members at our Senior Communities prefer GNB!”

“The best part about our experience with Great Northern Builders was our level of trust with their team. After our first meeting on the design and build of our newest Atmosfere retail store, we were on the same page and they really helped us achieve our design vision. Working with a construction company who can help you translate your ideas and implement them is an awesome experience. There was no doubt that they were our guys after our first get-together. We haven’t come across any builders or carpenters whose craftsmanship I would put above Great Northern Builders owner Chris Biljan and his brother Nate Biljan. The finishing details on our new retail store in the North Loop and all of the unique features they included were amazing. The store exemplifies our vision, draws more customers in with the unique way they integrated the lighting, and the design esthetic fits right in at the store’s newest location in the North Loop’s warehouse district.”

I wanted to create a progressive, upscale, boutique salon located in the heart of Woodbury that creates a unique client experience. An experience that is unforgettable and includes every detail to provide the utmost relaxation, renewal, and restored balance. We chose Great Northern Builders to build The Salon after seeing the unique design work they’ve completed. They are very well known for their amazing reputation in craftsmanship. Their Atmosfere project in Minneapolis initially peaked our interest. It exudes a rustic yet chic look, integrates a beautiful usage of reclaimed barn wood and materials, and an elegant display of lighting and attention to detail.Their team met with us several times prior to starting the project after we bought the space. They were right on point with listening to our ideas, had great suggestions on how to design and implement on our vision. They were able to really articulate our vision and were with us every step of the way in this build or renovation.
