Spring Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase
We kicked off the year with a bang at the Spring Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase. We shared two stunning St. Paul kitchen renovations, showcasing our craftsmanship and design excellence. Despite a blizzard trying to put a damper on things, we had two packed houses filled with eager visitors. It was heartwarming to see so many of you brave the weather to support us. Events like these remind us why we love what we do. Thanks to everyone who attended—we had a blast, as always!
Modern Home Transformation in Rosemount
One of our standout projects this year was the complete transformation of a home in Rosemount. The before and after photos tell the story better than words can—a dated space turned into a modern marvel. This project was a testament to our team’s ability to bring a homeowner’s vision to life. Every detail was meticulously planned and executed, resulting in a home that is both stylish and functional. Explore more of this project in our blog post and see for yourself how stunning the transformation turned out.
Highland Park Modern Kitchen Transformation
In 2023, we helped the owners of a 1950s Highland Park rambler transform their main level with a kitchen redesign. Their biggest goal? To create a modern chef’s kitchen that could also serve as a gathering space for their growing family. We embraced this challenge, designing a space that blends functionality with modern aesthetics. From sleek countertops to state-of-the-art appliances, every element was chosen to enhance both the cooking experience and the social atmosphere. The end result is a kitchen that the family loves and a project we are incredibly proud of.
Maplewood Exterior Facelift
Sometimes, a few updates can make a world of difference. This year, we gave a home in Maplewood a budget-friendly facelift that significantly boosted its curb appeal. Our crew installed new LP Smart Siding, replaced soffits, facia, and gutters, repainted the trim, and added custom cedar planters and new house numbers. These changes not only updated the home’s look but also added value to the property. Check out the before and after photos on our blog to see the dramatic transformation.
Celebrating 14 Years of Great Northern Builders
It’s hard to believe, but GNB has been in business for 14 years! Our company has grown and flourished over the years, and we’re grateful to have been part of so many families’ journeys in creating their dream homes. In our anniversary blog post, we share the story of how our owner, Chris, got started in the industry, what inspired him to open GNB, and how we’ve stayed involved in the community. It’s been an incredible journey, and we can’t wait for what the future holds.
Stunning New Build in Rosemount
One of our favorite projects this year was an incredible new build in Rosemount. Taking a project from start to finish and seeing it come to life is truly rewarding. These clients had a unique style—a mix of modern, trendy, rustic, and industrial elements—and we loved every moment of bringing their vision to reality. The final product is a clean, welcoming home that perfectly reflects their tastes. It’s a project that stands out and one we’re extremely proud of.
Fall Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase
The Fall Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase was another highlight of our year. This time, we showcased a lower level that had been transformed from an unsafe mess into a beautiful, functional space. Years of weekend warriors and different owners had left the basement in disarray. GNB stepped in to design a rustic yet modern space that met the demands of both family life and entertaining guests. The refinished basement features a bedroom for a growing teen, a fresh new bathroom, a fun bar space, and a cozy media room. Reclaimed beams, posts, and ceilings add a rustic touch, while modern details keep it inviting and new.
Cozy Basement Remodel in Cannon Falls
We were excited to share this cozy basement remodel in Cannon Falls. This project was part of a multi-step renovation with these clients, which included the exterior, main level, horse barn, storage building, and more. We kicked off our list with the basement, transforming it from a blank slate into a warm, welcoming family room, bathroom, and guest suite. The new space is perfect for relaxing and entertaining, and we look forward to continuing our work with these wonderful clients.
