Colonial to Country

Colonial to Country

A dated colonial exterior reimagined into a modern farmhouse retreat—blending family history, reclaimed materials, and timeless design.

Project Overview

This exterior remodel updated a 1992 colonial home with failing brick, outdated windows, and moisture issues, transforming it into a modern farmhouse-inspired design. The project included a new covered front porch, LP SmartSide siding with DiamondKote finish, and a mix of black accents and reclaimed materials to create a clean, cohesive look.

Additional Project Information

A standout feature of the project is the large covered front porch, designed as a functional gathering space. The garage was reconfigured to maintain three stalls while allowing room for the addition.

Reclaimed hand-hewn beams and wood details bring warmth and authenticity, while premium materials like Millboard decking, a standing seam metal roof, and custom gutters elevate durability and design. Black windows, custom awnings, and thoughtful lighting complete the transformation, blending modern updates with rustic character.
